Blogger’s Choice Stash Club September

It’s been a while since we blogged but I promise I’m going to try and get into the swing of things again, especially as we have so much happening right now but more on that later, I promise!

Our lovely Blogger for September is the a-maz-ing Kerry of VeryKerryBerry. Kerry has chosen what we think is an awesome bundle that really shows off her eclectic style.

Blogger’s Choice June

June’s Blogger’s Choice stash club bundle was chosen by the talent that is Quilt Dad!

“Inspired by the growing number of crafting blogs and the emergence of vibrant, modern fabrics in the quilting industry, quilter John Adams taught himself how to use a sewing machine in 2004 and hasn’t looked back. He started his popular blog, QuiltDad.com, in 2008 to share his love of patchwork with others. John lives in North Carolina with his husband, twin daughters, son, and a slightly crazy German Shorthair Pointer.”

John started with the amazing Foxes in the Foxglove print by British designer Aneela Hoey and the bundle took shape from there. Left to right we have:

We’ve been busy at our social Sew’In sessions at the shop this last week making quilt blocks to send over to the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild.

These blocks will be used to make quilts for those affected by the awful nightclub shooting massacre that happened at Pulse nightclub in Orlando last week.

Heart Blocks in Multiple Sizes

The pattern we used is the heart block by Alison of Cluck Cluck Sew, we made 10″ finished blocks as requested. You can make any heart shaped block with a low volume background as long as the block measures 10.5″ unfinished.
