This is a fantastic collection of 6" beginner-friendly inch blocks ranging in style from traditional to new. Fresh from the success of the first 25 Patchwork Quilt Blocks popular blogger Katy Jones presents a new collection of 6" blocks ranging from traditional to new, including English paper-piecing.
Beginner-friendly instructions include machine piecing, working with squares and triangles, basic machine applique, and more. You can select from 25 rotary-cut blocks; find traditional designs as well as fresh interpretations and new blocks, follow clear and accurate instructions, measurements, and diagrams for easy construction, and make the most of your blocks with projects in a variety of sizes - a drawstring bag, an apron, and two quilts.
These bold and graphic owls will make a big impact in your next quilt! Make a baby quilt with a single owl block, or stitch up a whole nest for a striking lap or twin bed quilt.
This pattern includes instructions for a 32" x 44' Baby Quilt, a 52" x 66" Lap Quilt, and a 68" x 92" Twin Quilt. All of the projects are made using 16" x 28" Allie Owl blocks.
Allie Owl is made using conventional piecing methods. No paper piecing or templates are used. You will just need your favorite fabric marking tool. A complete list of the pieces needed for each block is also included, so it's easy to use scraps and/or make blocks to use in other projects.
Please refer to the pattern images for a materials list and and diagrams of the quilts. I made my quilt using Robert Kaufman's Kona Cotton Solids and a list of the colors I used is included in the pattern.
