Delivery & Returns


In most cases your order will be sent out within 48hrs of receiving it.  Any orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday will not ship until Tuesday when the shop re-opens after the weekend.

Our standard delivery is via Royal Mail First Class, for small parcels under 200g. Royal Mail aims to deliver First Class items the next working day, including Saturday, but it can take up to 15 working days. Our standard postage service is Royal Mail 48hr tracked, we will send you the tracking number via email when we fulfill your order. Royal Mail will email/text you when your parcel is to be delivered.

Internationally we deliver by Royal Mail Airmail and use a tracked service. Royal Mail aims to deliver to Western Europe within three working days, Eastern Europe within five working days but it can take up to 25 working days.

We have a tiered postage rate which depends on the weight of your order with orders over £85 sent Free of Charge using Royal Mail's 48 hr tracked service.

Orders weighing under 200g                                          £1.50

Orders weighing between 200g - 3kg                            £3.50

Orders over £85                                                              FREE

Postage to Europe is also calculated on weight basis as follows:

Orders weighing up to 500g                                           £10.00

Orders weighing between 500g - 1kg                            £15.00

Orders weighing between 1kg - 1.5kg                           £18.00

Orders weighing between 1.5kg - 2kg                           £20.00

Orders over 2kg                                                              £30.00

14 Day Returns & Cancellation Policy

If you change your mind about your purchase you may cancel the order and return the goods to us provided you comply with the conditions stated below and you do this within 14 days of receiving the goods. You do not have to give a reason for returning the goods but you must notify us in writing, during this 14 day period, of your intention to do this. You can notify us by post, by email or by completing and submitting our online form.

Please include your contact details in any communications, including email address and telephone number together with details of your order and what items you intend to return. We will contact you to acknowledge receipt of your notification.

If you return goods, you are responsible for the full cost of returning them to Simply Solids. It is your responsibility to ensure that they are returned with adequate packaging and postage. Simply Solids accepts no liability for returned goods that do not reach us because they have inadequate postage or because they are 'lost in the post'. We therefore recommend you obtain 'proof of posting' and ensure the postage method you use includes adequate compensation for non-delivery.

Goods must be returned to us unused and in a good, re-saleable condition. In the case of fabric, this means it must not have been cut, sewn, washed or ironed and must not be soiled or contaminated in any way. We will only refund the value of the goods we receive back in a re-saleable condition plus the associated shipping charge we made to dispatch those goods to you.

Once the goods have been received and inspected we will make a refund credit, as quickly as possible, to the same payment card account you used to pay for the purchase. We aim to process the credit within 14 days but have no control over the time it will take the card processing company to transfer the money back to your payment card account.

We do not accept returns of patterns.

If any item we dispatch is defective or if we inadvertently send you the wrong item you may return these specific items to us unused and in good condition and we will send you a replacement and refund reasonable return postage/shipping costs provided you notify us in writing within 14 days of receipt of the goods. If we are unable to replace the goods we will refund the purchase price plus reasonable return postage/shipping costs.

Ordering Fabric Online

We make every effort to represent our products as accurately as possible, however colours can appear differently dependent on individual screen settings. If you are unsure about a fabric we are more than happy to send you a small sample before you purchase.

We are extremely careful about how we cut our fabric and always try to cut with the print and weave of the fabric if possible. However please be aware that fabric can distort as it is wound onto the bolt making a straight cut sometimes impossible. Fabric will also shrink with first laundering. Please be mindful of these facts when ordering your fabric and ensure you order enough to complete your project comfortably.
